Alexandre McCormack

Alex is a multiple Benelux vice-champion in breaking and has been teaching different urban dance styles since 2006. In 2013 he discovered vintage clips such as Hellzapoppin and The Spirit Moves, and since then began a journey of recreating the “old style” of African American jazz dance and Lindy Hop. Much of his inspiration comes from studying the great masters and learning directly from historical dancers and cultural references.

His motto is: “Master the basics to understand the dance and make it your own.” He can spend hours improvising late into the night to fast bebop swing, energetic mambo, and slower blues rhythms. In Brussels, he regularly trains with his group, Old Soulz.
